What is a telehealth visit?

A telehealth visit is a doctor's appointment by secure video, from your phone or computer. Telehealth in Florida with Vero Beach Medical Spa means seeing your own provider without driving in.
It's for common illnesses, prescription refills, lab reviews and follow-ups. Visits are included for direct primary care members.
Who telehealth is for
Telehealth visits are for patients who are physically in Florida at the time of the visit. That includes seasonal residents and snowbirds while they're in Florida.
If you're out of state, we can't hold a video visit with you there.
How telehealth works
You book a video visit, get a secure link before your appointment and see your provider by video. Prescriptions go to your pharmacy, and if you need an exam, labs or imaging, we book you in.
What we treat by video
- Colds, flu and sinus symptoms
- Rashes and minor skin concerns
- Allergies
- Prescription refills
- Lab result reviews
- Follow-up visits
Telehealth in Vero Beach also covers blood pressure and diabetes check-ins, follow-ups after an office visit, and weight management and hormone check-ins (DPC Plus). Anything that needs a hands-on exam, a swab or a test (strep, ear infections in some cases), physicals, injections and procedures, and some controlled-substance prescriptions under federal and state rules need an office visit. Go to the ER or call 911 for chest pain, trouble breathing, signs of stroke, severe injury or any emergency.
